Do you have a question about hosting an event or tying the knot at Woodhouse Barn?We have complied a list of our most common questions, but if you can't find the answer you are looking for, please call our wonderful team who will love to assist you.

Can we have a look around the venue?
The Woodhouse Barn team welcome all couples to explore the barn and its surroundings. We offer private viewings by appointment only; please contact us to arrange a suitable day to visit.

Can we get married at Woodhouse Barn?
We are licensed for civil wedding ceremonies, which are held in The Hen House. This is a secluded eleven-sided wooden structure full of character, which is just steps away from the main barn.

Will there be another wedding on the same day as our?
No, you will have exclusive use of Woodhouse Barn, from your wedding ceremony to your evening reception.

What’s included in the barn hire?
At Woodhouse Barn we always try to give you an all-inclusive price, as we don’t believe in hidden charges. Please find below what is included with the barn hire:

Exclusivity of the barn from 9:30am until late on the day of the event.
Access the day prior to set up tables and decorations etc. for up to 4 hours. (Time arrangement)
Tables and chairs with table cloths and linen napkins for up to 160 guests.
Soft seating and tables in the Loft Bar.
Outside table and benches in the courtyard.
Two fully stocked licensed and staffed cash bars until 1am.
A wedding day event manager will be at hand throughout your day, from welcoming your first guest to seeing the last guest safely to their transport.

Do you supply tablecloths, napkins, china and cutlery?
Yes, we will supply tablecloths, linen napkins, china and cutlery.

Do you provide catering?

Yes, all catering is provided in-house. Enquire to find out about our tasty and varied menu options.

What is the capacity of the barn?
For the wedding breakfast, we can seat a maximum of 160 dining guests, but it also perfect for smaller, intimate weddings. For the evening reception, we can accommodate up to 250 guests.

Do you have parking?
We have ample free parking where cars park on a graveled area, which leads straight off the lane. Please inform us if guests arrive by bus so we can guide them to a turning point. We ask that cars are collected by 2pm the following day, unless you are having a second day get-together at the barn.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

No, not even as favours for your guests. We have two licensed bars that are fully stocked with reasonably priced drinks. These bars are fully staffed throughout your event. We do not permit alcohol to be brought to the premises, so please inform your guests. Our premises begins at the first roadside gate.

Where do we put our wedding gifts?
For your cards and gifts, we have a red postal letter box and an antique travelling trunk.

Is confetti allowed?
Yes, confetti can be used outside but it must be biodegradable.

Can we have candles?
No, we do not allow any candles as we are predominately a wooden structure.

Are fireworks allowed?
Unfortunately, we do not allow fireworks of any kind, as we are a wooden building and we have neighbouring farms with animals.

Where do our guests leave their coats?
There is ample coat hooks in the arrival porch, which is not locked.

Do you have on-site toilets?
We have a ladies powder room with three toilets, three toilets in the gents room, and a disabled toilet with baby changing unit, all on the ground floor.

Can we have a band or DJ?
Yes, you have the freedom to organise your own professional band and DJ.

Is there a noise limit for our band or DJ?

Yes, our sound limiter allows music up to 90 decibels to respect the countryside.

Can we stay on site? 
Yes, we provide bell tents and log cabins. Please call our team for more information.

What are the Terms of booking?
£950 deposit is required on booking and securing your date (non-refundable). And the full and final payment must be made 10 weeks before the wedding.
